Elements 18: Places tags no longer work

One reason I recently upgraded to PSE 18 was to use the mapping function (places tags).  Today, I tried to add a place tag and the map would not load.  The error message said that I have to upgrade to PSE-19 to continue using this function.
There was not warning that this was going to occur, nor has Adobe given any solutions except to upgrade (at full price).  What gives?

That would be almost unbelievably bad customer services/taking care of your customer base EXCEPT it's Adobe. They continually prove and reprove that they are not interested in their customers.

When I first upgrade to PSE 2018, I spent hours converting all my travel tags into the place tags. What does one do with all the place tags already assigned?  Especially since new ones cannot be added.  Do I now have to create a whole set of new tags (that I deleted after converting to the places tags?

Any customer oriented company would offer some type of solution or compensation.  Adobe - what about it?  Are you going to show that you really care about the customer, or don't you care?  I await your

The point is that I recently bought PSE 2018.  I do not want to spend more money to buy PSE 2019.  Buying two versions in the same year is ridiculous.  It is Adobe's problem that they created.  They should upgrade us for a minimal (or no) charge.
