Photoshop limits text size with popup warning. Any attempt to type in a specific size, dependent upon image size and resolution, results in a return of 0px/pt.

Howdy Matt,

Do you know the origin of this text?  Was it transformed several times?  1296 pts is the current limit for font size in Photoshop for most documents.  If you enter a font size less than .01 or greater than 1296, PS should snap you back within those constraints.  What are the steps you're taking?  A point size of 0 shouldn't be allowed...(not saying there couldn't be a bug, but just that it should work like that!).  Mac?  Windows?  OS?

Thanks,
David

Mac O/S High Sierra 10.13.6 (because Mojave does not play well with needed playback software like Millumin) PS 20.0.6. Very basic steps here. I created a 400px X 400px canvas, 72ppi. Insert a letter of text and the font size maximum was 300px. Any attempt to increase that via typing a size in resulted in "0px" font size. Repeated the same process on PS 20.0.4 without incident. There was just a strict cap on font size as if I was creating art in 1x resolution. Couldn't figure it out so figured it was a bug specific to PS version. Digressing to 20.0.4 solved the problem, so likely a bug. Again, it all seems like PS is subscribing to a ppi not reflected in the resolution settings. Very weird.
