Lightroom: Pinch to zoom issue on macbook

Hello,
I always used "pinch to zoom" (the zoom in gesture) on the trackpad of my macbook with previous versions of LR and different machines.
I really love it to navigate through a picture that way.
There is one issue ever since: If you zoom into a picture (lets say 1:4) and you left click on it, the picture zooms out for best fit e.g.
If you repeat the pinch to zoom (in) gesture again, the picture is zoomed out to 1:16, instead of going back to the previous zoom mode (1:4). This would make sense if you zoom out more, but not this way. You can go back to 1:4 by clicking left again, but it feels very strange if you want to zoom in but the picture is totally zoomed out to 1:16.
This is just a little thing, but it would make the "feel" of the program more fluently.
Thanks!

Zoom with the trackpad in 'conventional' ways doesn't work in Lightroom. would be very useful, miss it.

Not sure why pinch-to-zoom doesn't work in Lightroom since it works fine in Photoshop CC. This seems obvious, especially with multitouch drawing tablets like the Intuous Pen & Touch on the market (and my desk). So frustrating.
