I am editing some pictures that I took. When I get the picture to look right on the screen and print it out. It is way too light and I tried darken it but it still turns out too light. What can I do to correct this problem?

I go into Guide for editing and select auto fix and the pictures on the monitor looks fine but when I go to print them they are way too light.

Hi Nancy, are you using Photoshop Elements? Or Photoshop CS5?

It would help to know what printer you are trying to print to and what OS you're on.

I am using Adobe Photo Elements 9, my printer is an Epson stylist CX7400. I am not sure what OS is. I have Photo Elements on my desktop so I go straight into it.

Thanks
Nancy

What are your color management settings set to?

1) In the print dialog click [More Options...] at the bottom of the screen
2) What are the settings for Color Management? (Color Handling, Printer Profile, Rendering Intent, etc)

I have elements7 installed and running well for the last 2years. I am now gettin an occasional cyan colour cast on shaded whites when printing from computer. If I print direct from digital camera the photo is O.K. the photo is correct when shown in organize. If this is a software bug would I be able to clear it by installing an update or will the bug still remain in the print order. Printer is a Canon ip6600D photo printer.
