I am working with Lightroom Classic and after I import my photos, (raw) they start turning pink. How do I stop this from happening: It just started doing this recently so I am not sure if it was an update that is now causing it, but I can I fix this.  I originally had Windows 8, but updated to 10 so I'm not sure if that is the problem or not.
Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you

This is most likely due to an incompatible monitor profile assigned to your display during the Windows 10 upgrade or one of its later updates. Try the procedure at the below link and see if that fixes the issue.

Pink can be an indicator that there has not been a translation of the color profile to SRGB. check color profile differences between source and destination

Paul these are raw files, which don't have a color profile. The most likely cause is an incompatible monitor profile.

Jeri, to verify this check the LR Histogram in the Develop module. If it also has a pink tint then the monitor profile is most definitely the cause.

Ok, I tried all of that.  And nothing has changed.  I believe my photos are now corrupted. I was hoping I could them back without the distortion, but I'm beginning to think that is not going to happen.  I had saved a back up copy on my computer, but the backup is also corrupted because it was backed up in Lightroom. I already deleted them from my disk after I downloaded them and backed them up.  (Something I won't do now until I import them to a different app.)  I just don't understand why some of them were distorted and not all.  It was random.  And what exactly is causing them to change?  They were all fine in my camera before I imported them.  I have attached
a sample.

Unfortunately, this is most likely data corruption since not all files are affected. If you can upload one of the corrupted files to Dropbox or other file sharing site I'll take a look at it.

I had saved a back up copy on my computer, but the backup is also corrupted because it was backed up in Lightroom.
LR backup on exit only backs up the catalog file and NOT the actual image files. Using a previous LR catalog backup will not fix this issue. You need to use a separate backup or file synchronization software app for this purpose AND a separate external hard drive reserved strictly for backing up copies of both your image files AND LR catalog backup files.

Thank you Todd.  I will have to do that for my future photos.   I will upload one of the photos to dropbox at lunch time (after 12:00) .  How shall I send (link) it to you?

Todd,
I have downloaded the image from the file on the hard drive after doing what Jerry said to do.  Here is the link:   https://www.dropbox.com/s/o18jcn1gggfc8jh/DSC_0415.NEF?dl=0

The raw file exhibits the same issue. It's possible your memory card reader is causing the corruption.
Try using the current memory card that still has the image files you see in LR as corrupted, but with it in the camera connected using a USB cable. Next use Windows Explorer to copy all of the files on the card to a new folder location on your system. Then open LR and import that folder separate from the same files already imported into LR using the 'Add' function. Use the settings exactly as shown below.
If the files now import with no corruption then you have an issue with your memory card reader, its USB connecting, cable, or perhaps the USB port on your system. If they are still corrupted it's possible the memory card is defective. Do you see this corruption on multiple memory cards or just one specific card?

Thanks Todd, I will try that and see what happens.   If it is okay, then I will get a new memory card reader and try it also and see what happens.  I now believe it is probably the reader because the memory card is new because this was happening to a previous cardI had and I thought that was the issue.  Of course, I threw it away, now wishing I hadn't because it was relatively new.

As an FYI the Kingston memory card reader I've been using for many years on my Windows 10 system developed issues after one of the recent Windows 10 updates. It is very slow to be recognized in Windows Explorer or the LR Import module. As a test I tried it on a Windows 7 system and it works with no issues, which confirms it's a Windows 10 driver compatibility issue. You can check the manufacturer's website for a firmware update, but mine was already at the current level.
I purchased the below memory card reader, which works properly on my Windows 10 version 1903 build 18362 system.
