I use LR mobile (on my iPhone) to take a few pictures. Is there any way I can transfer the pictures to my laptop (running LR Classic) without synching to the cloud first?
It's using up my limited internet bandwidth at a prodigious rate.

No, but the feature has been requested for a long time. You can add your voice to the lot if you want.

You CAN use iTunes (or whatever it will become to sync your phone) to dig into your phones storage, though.

Yes, there is. Select the image and choose ‘Export original’. Choose the Camera Roll as destination. The Camera Roll can be read by several applications when you connect your phone to your computer.

That method is fine for a few photos, but becomes unwieldy for bulk photo management.

Also: I assume you loose all the edits. Unless they are embedded in the dng (if you shoot dng) or it exports a .xmp file (which I strongly doubt).
Which makes LR pointless as it becomes a basic raw calera.
