Hi guys!
I've being working with the fellows at OnOne Software for the past 2 weeks to try to solve the following problem: when I send a picture from LR to Photo Perfect Suite to add a frame and reimport it into LR, it comes back modified (higher exposure, less blacks etc...). They could not reproduce the problem on their machine.
Today, I tried the same procedure but instead send from LR to Photoshop and then reimport it to LR, I get the same problem !! So, I guess the problem is really in LR. I send some files attached to show the defect. Can you help ?
Thanks in advance for your time and efforts.

Let's see a screenshot that includes your Develop settings of the re-imported image that could make it brighter. JPGs have default settings just like raw files so maybe you have non-zero defaults for imported JPGs.

Thank you Steve for taking the time to address my problem.
I work on DNG files in LR, then when the picture is treated in Photoshop or OnOne Perfect Photo Suite, it is a PSD file and that’s how it gets reimported in LR. I do not use jpeg except to export the pictures or take screenshots.
Here are 3 pictures as you requested:
1 is comparaison of the original and a copy with only a black frame added and reimported into LR
2 the original in Develop Module
3 The treated copy in Develop

Hope this helps your understanding of what I am trying to depict.

Thanks again for your time and efforts.
Have a nice day.

Looking forward to hear from you,

JMM

Whether JPG or PSD, the issue would be the same:

The Toning sliders aren't zero so of course the image won't be the same. I suspect you have Apply Auto Toning in your Import preferences.

For a while I thought you had found the problem. But unfortunately, I have unchecked every auto toning that I could find, but the problem subsists...
Here are the results after saving in Photoshop and reimporting

Thank you Steve !!!
Indeed you were right. I double-checked and found that I had not unchecked it in my Preferences.
Now it's back to normal and I do not get any change in the pictures.
Many many thanks and bravo !!
Best regards,
JMM
