In former Photoshop versions it was possible to pick up a color with the dropper from outside Photoshop by just clicking and holding and moving to the color wished. I can't do this in Photoshop CC. Did you delete the function or is there a new way to do it? This function was really very handy, i miss it.

No, that hasn't changed at all in Photoshop CC. Click in a document window, and drag out to sample from other apps or the OS. Note that you can't click on other apps without the OS switching to that app.

Thanks for the quick answer! We tried it out in our agency and found out what exactly the issue is: We all work with two connected monitors. Seems like the dropper only works on the main monitor. In former PS versions it worked on all connected monitors. - Would be cool if that could be fixed in the next update. :)

Bah, that sounds like the OS APIs for getting color may have changed.
What OS version are you using?
