I have CS6 and my Photoshop window is staying on top. I haven't been able to find a fix for this problem. I don't want to have to minimize the window to see another screen.

Are you on Mac? Are you referring to the Application Frame background? If so, you can disable by selecting Window>Application Frame

Does that help? If not, post a screen shot that illustrates the issue.

No thanks for responding. I think actually it may have to do with the "Shake" function of windows 7. But what I wouldn't give for a MAC. Thanks again.

Hi Brandon, are you saying that Shaking another app window isn't minimizing Photoshop's window? Or that shaking a Photoshop window isn't minimizing other app windows? Or something else?

This happens on Macs too, and has since CS6.

My issue is, whenever I load photos from ACR/Bridge, or run a batch, or image processor, or contact sheets, anything that loads photos, the photos pop up on top on my screen. Even if PS is minimized. And it's annoying as hell.

Even if I switch to another virtual desktop, they load on THAT one instead. Which causes me to have to manually move them over to my main desktop.

I hate it.
