Photoshop CC: vector mask on puppet warped smart object misbehaves

The issue seems to be an obscure one as I have so far not even be able to force it with a newly created file, but the issue affects an existing file both in Photoshop CS6 (13.0.5) and Photoshop CC (14.1.1) on Mac OS 10.8.4.

The Vector Mask of a Smart Object that has a Puppet Warp applied will change on moving the Layer.
Originally it changed when dragging Layers into the file, but in the reduced file I’ve been testing this behaviour is currently not reproduceable.
The red Layer in the screenshots only serves to illustrate the dimensions of the original Vector Mask.

Maybe this is a known issue in which case please excuse me starting a new thread.
Should one of the Adobe employees be willing to test the file themselves please let me know.

I have recently come across the issue again and could provide a file for testing if anyone is interested.

After re-opening the file editing the Smart Filter Puppet Warp will result in the linked Vector Mask changing.

A file would be handy. Do you want to post a link or email it directly to me?

Please forgive me for bothering you but were you able to reproduce the issue with that file?
