First I had this error while trying to update PS CC:
Adobe Photoshop 14.2
There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1I210

Adobe CSXS Infrastructure 4
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7

Then, after trying to log in and had to change my password I now get this error:
Adobe CSXS Infrastructure 4
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1U49

This all seems a little too screwed up for me to comfortably uninstall PS and then try to reinstall as I have to go OS tomorrow and don't want to suddenly haVe no PS at all!

What WILL fix this problem?

Thanks
Dave

It sounds like something on the system has modified or removed required files (system cleaner, or other). What OS/version are you on?

Hi Jeffrey

Was just about to edit that to add some info. Its a windows 7 Dell laptop. I don't have a system cleaner.

I just tried to upgrade PS CC on my desktop computer (win 7) and it got the following error:

Adobe CSXS Infrastructure 4
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1U49

Adobe Photoshop 14.2
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1U49

Photoshop Camera Raw 8.3(CC)
There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1I200

Again, the desktop doesn't have any "cleaning" software either.

What are the "required files"? Where are they?

Thanks
Dave

It looks like a the Adobe CSXS Infrastructure 4. We'd need to get the log files to know for sure. I've asked for someone to contact you directly.

This error is generally related to the updater (Adobe Application Manager) itself. First, verify that AAM is not already running in the background. Check the Task Manager Processes tab. Also, you'll want to make sure you have the latest version of AAM installed. You can manually update it here: http://www.adobe.com/support/download...

I have had nothing but trouble trying to download and use Adobe PS for Photographers since I started my subscription. Either updates fail, Creative Cloud app fails, or I am given a "trial" version which requires me to sign in to the internet every time I want to use the applications in my Adobe subscription. I have spent many hours with Adobe 'India' trying to resolve these issues and each time I am assured by Adobe reps that the problem is resolved and won't be an issue again and without fail these issues continue. The result is that when I need to use PS or Lightroom offline I can't!!!! I wish Adobe would put half as much effort into resolving these issues as they do in creating a beautiful application! I no longer recommend these Adobe
products to other photographers when they can get most of the same editing benefits with other companies and none of the hassle of using a subscription and poor technical support.

Sorry you're having trouble. In most cases where there are persistent update or activation issues another application/extension, such as anti-virus or system/registry cleaner, is deleting or modifying required files. Are you using any such software?

1st...thank you so much for responding! I do have McAfee virus protection but I don't want to disable it in order to update programs. Any help would be so appreciated.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Can't update Photoshop in CC..

The machine is windows 8 64 bit. All other Adobe products are updating okay.
