Photoshop should have a 'Transform Each' function, like illustrator.

Like the title says:
'Transform Each' would be really welcome, to be able to resize different objects, while keeping their respective center points locked.

If you really think this feature would improve your Photoshop experience you may want to look into Scripting.
I think it might be possible to emulate the feature (in a simplified form maybe).

Oh sure there's a workaround.
But it would be nice just to have this feature, without scripting.

The likelihood of Adobe investing resources into developing features for functionality that is already achievable seems dubious.

And as this seems to be functionality that addresses graphic design concerns more than image editing ones I think you should at least ask over at the Scripting Forum, especially as it is possible that such a Script exists already.
