I am having trouble with CS5 it is running very very very slow... it is at a crawl. I have defrag'd and ran disk clean up. I have checked of an enable openGL drawings. I am not sure what else to do.

Has it always run slow? or is this a new problem? If new, what changed?

What OS/version are you running on?

No it hasn't this is a new problem...
I downloaded an action set a few weeks a go and on certain actions it would continuously say building a histogram.. just on a few of them. Then on Saturday I downloaded spyder4 pro and tried to calibrate my monitor for the first time. which for some reason turned all my images yellow. I know my calibration wasn't that off because I had just had prints made. So I uninstalled it and had to set my computer back 24 hours. It ran okay the rest of Saturday but sunday it started acting up. I have windows 7 with 8gb with 560 remaining gb our of 904 with a NVIDIA GEFORCE video card an ASUS LAPTOP

No I will try that in the morning. Just extremely frustrated because I waited on hold with adobe only for then to tell me they couldn't help any longer with CS5. It is pretty self explanatory? I know computers but don't equally know ten if you know what I mean.0
