Photoshop CS 5.5 : Raytracing Draft/Final Stops before rendering the image

I have a small print project I am working and I am up against the deadline... I have some 3D text from Repousse that I have extruded, shaded etc. that's ready to be rendered in Raytrace Final, but the renderer stops in the top left corner and doesn't reach the 3D text leaving it looking like garbage. I can switch back to interactive, and it looks ok but not passable. I have rebooted, opened the file on other computers with the same specs etc. and get the same results. The image is complete and all the other 3D is rendered in Raytrace Final, and rasterized except this for this last piece. I recreated the text in another file and it does the same thing. I have also moved the 3D piece to the top corner where it stops rendering and it still does the same thing. Any thoughts?
