After installing Lion - My photoshop CS5 became non functional. Every time I clicked on a layer or tried to do anything, it hung. I found on apple forums solution (i hope temporary): Go to preferences / type and then disable "Font Preview Size" - this seems to be the bug that people are complaining about after installing Lion

Seth, quick question. Do you have the latest updates installed for Photoshop as well? http://adobe.ly/PS-Up-To-Date

One other question, was this happening when clicking on a layer kind, or just text layers?

yes. i spoke to the support people i bought it from in morning and i installed the latest version. i have the ME version of Photoshop CS5. I thought perhaps something in the ME setup could be the cause. But they went as far as they could. The problem only exists when I open files worked on prior to Lion install. If I create a new file, the problem doesn't exist. I have have been working today in photoshop and it is running beautifully with the Font Preview Size disabled.

it happened if i clicked on any layer and also if i tried to move contents in any layer with the mouse or with up down arrows on keyboard. anything i really tried to click on even tools in the toolbar caused photoshop to hang.
