Photoshop: Preserve EXIF/metadata when exporting using Save For Web

Dear Adobe Gripe #7192

"When I use "Save for Web", please don't blow away the EXIF data. Save for Web is preferred since its file size 'trimming' is much more accurate than "File Save". I.e. if I use File Save and I select '7', my estimated file size is 190k or more. I save the file, and it ends up only being 125k."

It's not that Save For Web doesn't preserve EXIF as part of the XMP metadata if you export using Save For Web. It does, you just need to make sure that you set the Metadata setting to "All" in the Save For Web dialog:

Some applications don't read XMP metadata (like Flickr). Save For Web in Photoshop CS5 now preserves EXIF data (outside the XMP block) so that apps that don't read XMP can see the EXIF. This does make the files a bit larger.

Is there a way to preserve metadata when using Save for Web with Photoshop Elements 10? The Metadata setting in the response above is not in the Save for Web dialog box in Elements.

Thank you.
