The user needs to be able to default that 'pixel aspect ratio correction' is deselected in Photoshop.
If a file has non-square pixels then, okay, it has non-square pixels. Not Photoshop's fault.
But for working in Photoshop the user should be able to by default have 'pixel aspect ratio correction' deselected. It is not enough to manually deselect 'pixel aspect ratio correction', or even to use an action or an event on a file-by-file basis for this, or to use batch processing on the files themselves to change their PAR. A default setting applicable to all files, regardless of their individual PAR, to have the 'pixel aspect ratio correction' deselected, is needed.
