Hi Robin,
Couple of questions:
1. Has this feature ever worked for you?
2. Have you checked to see if this happen with a different set of images? or with a specific set of images?
I would probably try a restore of your prefs as a first step: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/photoshop...

Hi Jeffrey
1. No - I had it working in Photoshop Elements 9 on a different laptop, but this is the first time I have tried it with Photoshop Elements 10 on this laptop. As soon as I select File New Photoshop Panorama then Windows tells me that Photoshop Elements has stopped working.
2. I don't get as far as selecting images! and it seems to stop working whether i have open files in PE or not.
3. Preferences restoration didn't work, but I had only just installed PE10 so probably not where the problem lies but thanks for the thought.
What next?
Robin

Can you install Photoshop Elements 9 on this computer and test to see if you encounter the same issue?

Regrettably not. I don't have a licence key for it! (It was on my ex-wife's laptop, and she has that laptop and the PSE9 licence key too...)

OK I'm getting nowhere now... I have uninstalled, reinstalled, reupdated and still it is the same thing... as soon as I have clicked on New Photomerge Panorama then Windows 7 tells me that PSE has stopped working.
What else can I try? I have several panoramas that I would really like to create; is it possible to install PSE9 and use my PSE10 Licence key and see if I can get it to work that way?

The license keys are for specific versions of the software, so your key for 10 will not work for 9.
Have you ever installed PSE9 on this computer and used it as a trial? If not, you should be able to do that now (just don't put in a license key). That will give you 30 days to test whether you can use the Panorama in this version of if we are looking at a larger system issue.
