Photoshop: CC overwrites my custom keyboard shortcuts repeatedly throughout the day. This happens regardless of restarting the app or not.

Ever since I updated my photoshop CC to the latest version 14.2.1 x64, my custom keyboard shortcuts keep getting overwritten.

Specifically, I have Command+Shift+A assigned to "Deselect", but it keeps getting reassigned to the default, "Camera Raw Filter..."

When I reassign it back to "Deselect", multiple times during the day, without restarting the app, photoshop changes it back to camera raw. Any ideas on how to avoid this?

If you change workspaces, the workspace can include keyboard shortcuts.
Otherwise Photoshop can't change the shortcuts without you explicitly changing them.

Hi Chris, thanks for the response, but I don't think this is what's happening. I have 2 workspaces and made sure that both of them include my modified keyboard shortcuts. I tried switching back and forth between the workspaces and verified that this does not cause my shortcuts to get wiped out.
Is there another cause that you can think of?
Let me know, thanks!

Nope. The only time Photoshop can change keyboard shortcuts is by user action (changing workspace, or changing keyboard shortcuts directly).

Hmmm, I wish the answer was that simple. But unfortunately I can confirm that I haven't changed workspaces, yet the default keyboard shortcuts keep coming back.

Either you, or some action you run, is changing them. Photoshop cannot change the shortcuts by itself.

Hello! Did you synchronize your settings to creative cloud after creating those shortcuts?

Ah ha, that's a great question. I keep trying to sync my settings, but always get an error.

I wonder if this is causing the problem?
I've tried opening the "Creative Cloud" app and making sure I'm signed in, which I am, and I still can't sync my settings.

Do you think my updated workspace/keyboard shortcuts keep getting wiped out due to this syncing error?

It is possible, if a partial sync completed before the error.

Try disabling the sync feature.

I don't know, it was a wild guess, as it is the only other thing that could affect shortcuts.
Did you try to log off from the app, make sure you are logged off on Ps, en log back in on the app and Ps?

PECourtejoie, that was a good call on your part. I logged off and then logged back into CC. I then was able to synchronize my settings and it looks like this has solved the problem. Thank you so much!
