In the past on the windows version, it was possible to create a new document by CTRL+double-clicking on the background of Photoshop.
(And other functions as well, see point 3 of but the CMD is the most useful one.)
I think that this shortcut was removed when, or shortly after the Mac version received an application frame.
Only the double-click on the background to open an existing document has been kept, and a CTRL+click does now the same.

As stated by another user in the community forums, CTRL+N either requires some users to stretch their hand, or use two hands, while CTRL+Click is an easy and natural shortcut. Please reintroduce this big time saver!

Thank you very much!
