Photoshop: Improvements that weren't needed

I am addressing some issues I found with the latest Photoshop versions. I gave up Photoshop CS6 as I found it didn't work so well and I hoped that the CC version is better, unfortunately it is not.

What seriously disturbs me, and I've seen others complain too, is the thumbnail preview the CS3 used to have when you want to open an image. That's really useful when selecting a .PSD file, as you don't see the image fist hand. Now you cannot see what image you're opening when they're all .PSD let's say.

Next is the Clone Tool which in my case sometimes works, other times it doesn't.

And I don't think an improvement to the Crop Tool was needed also.

One other element they completely left out (and I hate them for that) is the possibility of changing the font size preview (option from Preferences-Type subsection) which was available in the CS3 version. Now I can only see the fonts in a very small writing.

Also when I have a sliced zone on the image, when I zoom to the maximum, there is a double pointed line as the slice outline, that makes no sense, it should only be one.

These are all very annoying as I use Photoshop daily and I constantly bump into these issues.

Hi Adina,

Laundry lists don't work well for reporting issues on this site. Individual topics for each item is preferred. Also note that many of these concerns already have topics:

Crop Tool changes:

The command for Font Preview Size just moved:

I'm not familiar with your slice issue. Can you post a separate new topic with a screen shot of what you're seeing.

Also, it's not clear what your clone issue is specifically. Please post a new topic for that as well with more details, steps to reproduce, and/or screen shots if necessary.
