Photoshop Image Size in pixels with resampling?
For some reason, Photoshop CC 2014 is less flexible in it's image resize possibilities. When Resample is active, pixels is grayed out in the units roll-out selector. Why? I need it.
I know, but why is this so rigid? I like to see my size in pixels in this dialog, even if I am not going to resample. And if I change them, Photoshop will resample. That checkbox is not needed. Could be a warning triangle instead, that appears when the file is going to be resampled.
I just ran into the same thing. I recall older versions let you change the image dimensions and would automatically up the resolution (DPI). Here's the workaround:
Go to Image Size. Deselect 'resample.' Adjust image to desired resolution. Click 'OK.' Go back into Image Size. Check 'resample' box. Choose sample type (ex: Bicubic Sharpener, etc). Switch from 'inches' to 'pixels.' Set desired size. Click 'OK,' and you're done :)
