Photoshop: I don't like the default setting of layer styles (like stroke or drop shadow). Let me set my own defaults

Dear Adobe Gripes #4437, #7162, #10977 & #7071

"Why the #ff0000 default stroke colour? Hmmm, why not?"

"Let us define the standard values for all setting such as Layer Styles,
nobody uses the red strokes and global shadows"

"Photoshop - Layer effect defaults, please give us the power to change
them. Or at the VERY least, have an option in the prefs for them to
"remember" their last state."

"Why is every new stroke ugly red and fat, why can't it remember the last
settings?"

In Photoshop CS5, not only does stroke default to Black (instead of red) you can set your own defaults for any of the settings using the [Make Default] button. You can always reset to the factory defaults if you like using the "Restore to Default" button:
