We are having massive problems saving files to our server. They are appearing to save and saying they have saved but then when we re-open the files they have lost or deleted most of the layers even layers which have been saved successfully previously.

Hi Amy,

In general, we don't advise doing save operations over a network.

What version of Photoshop? What OS/version? What kind of server are you saving to? Over what file sharing protocol?

Hi Jeffrey,

We are using photoshop cc on windows 7 64bit, server 2012 using TCP/IP

We only just upgraded from cs6 - we had not such issue with cs6.

The file sharing protocol would be something like SMB, CIB, NFS, AFP, etc.

And which version of Photoshop CC? Have you installed the 14.2.1 update?

Yes, you need to install the 14.2.1 update to pick up all the Photoshop bug fixes (and some OS bug workarounds).
