Photoshop errors trying to open files

I've suddenly been getting an error message in Photoshop saying that it can't open the file. And yet these files (jpg and psd) are files I've used for many months. Adobe support people checked the program and it seems to work fine to create new psds. Any thoughts? This would be devastating if I can't open these files - logo builds, graphic designs, etc. I work on PC - windows 2008 and am using Photoshop CC with the latest updates.

What exact error do you receive?
Do the files open in other applications?
Where can we download one of the broken files?

Hi sorry I was not right back to you on this. At any rate, to answer your questions: 1) Error message: Could not complete your request because it is not a valid Photoshop document.
2) I've tried to open from program files as well as from within Photoshop. I also tried inserting as a picture into Word, no go. No go for opening in InDesign and I don't have any other photo programs.
3) I've uploaded to my Google drive one of my logo files for my crafting business. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7XI.... It's called FInalLogWithTagline.

I downloaded the file and looked at it -- there is no sign that it contains any known image data. There is no known image header, no recognizable metadata, nothing of use in that file.

That file was either corrupted (a lot), compressed with something I don't know the format of, or encrypted. There are some bytes at the start of the file that appear to give a magic value and a file length - so I suspect compression or encryption.

Thank you for taking the time to look. This makes me feel quite sick, but I'm hopeful that a backup file I did a while ago might bring back all my hard work! Thanks!
