Photoshop Elements 9 organizer crashes on start-up

I have been running the organizer for the past few days slowly adding in over 30,000 photos into a new catalog - I had tried to upload all at the same time into a catalog and this did cause errors with the organizer so decided to put a small amount in at a time.

This has been going well until yesterday when all of a sudden the program crashed and will not re-open that catalog.

I CAN open the program if I go through an empty catalog. I can NOT open the catalog I have been working on - within 3 seconds the program will crash.

I have tried deleting the preferences, turning off auto analyzing, turned off auto face recognition, deleting the saved thumbnails, running a repair (and forcing the repair) as well as optimizing the catalog, re-installing the program, running in administrator, no anti virus or fire walls, turning off all non-vital background tasks, installed the newest quick-time, installed newest windows updates, made sure over 60gb of empty space on "C" drive (pictures are located on "E"), installed 9.0.3 patch.

So far everything ends the same way - crashing within 3 seconds.

Does anyone here have any other ideas???

I have the same problem and have tried the same workarounds to no avail.
