I recently purchased a new PC (windows 7) and photoshop elements 10. All has been working well until this evening. Firstly Elements Editing software was launching but off screen from my monitor. I checked my monitor settings, my mouse settings etc until I recalled windows update had been performed last time I was on my PC. I checked with windows update and found there was a new update relating specifically to my Samsung monitor which I then updated.
Tried to launch photoshop elements 10, same problem occuring. Checked compatibility and noted that it had selected windows xp rather than windows 7. Tried changing compatibility to windows 7. Now elements won't launch beyond the welcome screen. I've uninstalled the software and tried a new installation but still no change. Please help, I've been asked to do a cover photo for a small publication magazine and I desperately need it to work! Thanks.

If an application is launching off screen, here is how to bring it back on screen:

1. With the application running and active, click the Alt key.
2. Click the Space key (this activates the menu you normally see when right-clicking the application in the task bar at the bottom).
3. Click the M key (this activates the move function).
4. Click any of the arrow keys: Up, Down, Left, or Right (this will attach the application to the cursor).
5. Move your cursor, the application window should follow.
6. Click the mouse button, this will cause the cursor to let go of the window in it's current position.
