Consistent error every time I try to use a vector tool.

"Could not use the rectangle tool because of a program error."

I can use brushes and text but not shapes =(

I've restarted photoshop multiple times, reset my preferences, and tried with new and old psds. Here's what I find in my PSErrorLog.txt:

2012:08:23 18:04:39 : /Volumes/workarea/PS_13_Mac_Daily_Retail/20120315.r.428/photoshop/main/photoshop/xcode/../sources/UActionsCore.cpp : 5098 : REQUIRE failed

This is a 2012 macbook air and I've used photoshop on it successfully for a few weeks. I'm blocked!

The actions core error is from an automation plugin.

The USheet error is because the code tried to use a sheet image mode that didn't exist - probably due to uninitialized data.

Check the document color mode and depth, and check what layers you have selected when this happens.

Could this be some adobe plug-in? I haven't installed anything else and don't use any automation tools.

Here's what I've done - reboot, open photoshop, new document, web template 800x600.

create a new layer - pick the circle tool ... try to draw (i see the outline) ... and release the mouse button ... boom =/

I then rinsed and repeated for RGB 8,16,32 and cmyk ... something has definitely gotten corrupted.

Anything else I can provide to track this down or should I figure out how re reinstall from scratch?

Yes, the automation error could be an Adobe plugin.

Try changing the options bar settings for the tool before drawing - especially the fill and stroke.

I'm really not sure why you're seeing this and other users aren't.

Yes same thing - the fill palette pops up but if I click on (color, gradient, pattern, or none) buttons I get that same error. Same for stroke.

That is weird. If you reset the tool, or reset preferences, that shouldn't happen.

I'm getting the same problem. Has there been any solution to this issue from 2 years ago?
