Photoshop CS6: nudging multiple times with the keyboard arrows only moves the item one increment after processing.

In CS5 you would be able to nudge as many times and the artwork would catch up to match the number of times you hit the arrow key.

Productivity goes down if I cannot nudge multiple times.

Are you zoomed in greater than 100%?

Try turning off the preference "Snap Vector Tools and Transforms to Pixel Grid".

Hi Mark and Andrew,

I'm not able to reproduce this problem at all. When I nudge, I get as many nudges as arrow key presses. What OS are you running? Video card and driver? GPU on? All documents or just one?

I think there's something else going on here...

Thanks,
David

Its only an issue if you are nudging a group that contains loads of layers ( web design ).

I've used the "work around" of turning off thumbnails in the layer palette and that has helped, but I do miss the thumbnails.

In that case you're just seeing the nudging being slow - and turning off layer thumbnails is the current workaround. We're trying to get you a proper fix soon.

Yes I have turned off layer thumbs, which has helped a lot.

@Chris Cox - I suppose pixel snapping could also be a culprit, but if that is the case then I would call that a bug.

Oh, it is a known bug -- I just want to make sure that is the issue and you're not seeing something else.

There's a difference between "doesn't work" and "works slowly when I try to move a LOT of layers at once".

I'm just reporting that I had the same problem described in this thread.

If you nudge something 10 times pressing the arrow key, when the layer thumbnails are ON, it will only nudge once.

In CS5, even if there was a slowdown, you would still get the 10 nudges once it was done processing.

The slowness is a bug, not sure if the lost nudges are.

Sorry if this is covered in other threads. Thanks

Yeah, 2 different problems, covered elsewhere.
