Photoshop CS6, with one file open, if I try to open another document and use the mouse wheel to scroll the file list in the dialogue box, photoshop will instantly crash. This is using a Logitech MX500 mouse, Dell m6600 w/ a nVidia Quadro 4000.

What OS version?

What does the crash report say?

And please realize that the open/save dialogs are OS dialogs, so most likely you're looking at an OS bug or a problem with a system utility modifying the open dialog.

I switched from advanced GPU mode to normal and the problem went away. At least so far.

nvcompiler is part of your NVidia video card driver.
