Photoshop CS6 Folder Issue

Hey everyone,
I've dealt with multiple versions of Photoshop and I've never come across this very annoying problem with CS6. I've even shown it to our other Graphic Designer who is running 5.5 and she's never seen this problem before either. I even duplicated my work on CS4, and I'm not having the same problem as I am on CS6.

The Situation:

I have multiple photos, image shapes and text layers (all individual layers).
Because I am dealing with numerous layers I want to put them in there own folder (for organizational purposes).

Typically I would organize my layers tab into folders instead of having multiple layers everywhere (prevents scrolling down). I would click the folder button to create a new folder then drop the layers I want in that folder.

Layer 1 Text
Layer 2 Shape
Layer 3 Photo

All 3 layers placed into the folder called "Winter Sunrise" and then repeat that process for other photos, texts, shapes.

So I end up with multiple folders under different names.

The Problem:

I would then work within one folder at a time. Typically by selecting the shape layer moving it where I want it to be, then move the text layer and move that layer where I want it to be, to create the desired composition.

However, every time I select the individual layer I want to move around, it moves all 3 layers at the same time. It refuses to let me select and move an individual layer within the folder. It's like the layers are merged and locked - when there not.

Would greatly appreciate some help as I can use this exact workflow on my personal computer that has CS4 but I can't on my work computer which has CS6.
