Photoshop CS6 Extended : "The result would be too big" ...bug??

Hi,

When opening a particular PSD file created originally with PS CS5, any attempt to click on an existing layer comp results in an alert : "Could not complete your request because the result would be too big". It is impossible to select any other than the current layer comp.

The same file opens without any problems on PS CS5.5 Extended. Other PSD files work fine in both versions.

I can provide screenshots should you require them.

Thanks,

I've had this problem in previous versions of photoshop. The fix I've found is saving it out as a .PSB and then reopening it.
Apparently something goes wrong with the layers comps and photoshop thinks it will create something bigger than 30 000 pixels. PSB's dont have a 30 000 pixel limit.

Another less effective solution is to turn off the "position" option in each of your layers comps, but that means you loose the position information.

Let me know if this fixes it in CS6? it works in cs3

This is becoming a VERY annoying bug. I can't save a massive piece of work I have been doing now. Can't create smart objects in it. Can't do anything :/
