Photoshop CS6 crashes when using either the cropping tool, selection tool or lasso tool. Resetting Photoshop works sometimes, but not all the time. I am working on a Windows XP computer using version13.0 x 32. When Photoshop crashes, there is no error message, it simply crashes. Please help. Thanks.

Do you mean it exits without an error?
Because if you're notified of a crash, that is the error message.

Yes, it exits without an error. I can start it up without issues, open a document and then i will use a keyboard shortcut for the crop tool, lasso tool etc., then it shuts down without any kind of error.

OK, that means that it's not crashing, but some driver or other external component is calling exit().

Unfortunately doing that also means that there's no easy way to figure out which component did it.

I'd start by resetting preferences in Photoshop, then checking all my drivers for updates (from the makers, not Microsoft).
But my first guess would be that it is video driver related.
