Photoshop: CS6 can't save files because of a Program Error (Win 7)

I installed CS6 the other day and this is my first time to use Photoshop since then. I was working on a file then I tried to save it as a psd and got an error saying it could not be saved.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium with 8GB or RAM and an i5 quad core CPU with a GTX 570 HD. I did have a problem when I first opened Photoshop. It would only run in admin mode because I have the program files installed on an SSD drive and the program data files installed on a larger HDD. I corrected this by setting the scratch disks to the HDD.

I have tried saving it as other types of files (jpg, pdf, etc) but no luck. I was able to save an unmodified image file as a jpg with no problems. Attached is the error message. Any Ideas?

I have created a couple more psd's now and had no problems with them. The file I am working on has 5 layers, 2 of them are adjustment layers.

Did you install the 13.0.1 update?

How do you initiate the 13.0.1 update? My Help > Updates... is ghosted. I'm running CS6 x64. Not Extended, though.

If updates is grayed out, then something is wrong with your install.

You can go to the Adobe website and download the updater directly - but it may not work because of whatever is wrong with your existing install.

Is it ghosted all the time? It does take a bit of time after you launch for the command to become enabled.

Is it ghosted in Bridge as well?

Hmm nevermind guys, I got it taken care of. Thanks for the radically rapid responsiveness, though!

I don't think I have installed that update, unless it was already included when I downloaded CS6 a couple of weeks ago. I don't want to do it now though, because I will loose my work on this file.
