Photoshop CS6: Arrange Windows Access

In previous versions of Photoshop there were buttons available to arrange the windows if several documents were open (Arrange Vertically, 4-Up, etc.). Now it has moved up into the menu bar to Window > Arrange > Tile All Vertically, Horizontally, etc. I often have to drag and drop layers from one document to another, so this becomes very cumbersome to manually find every time. Is there a way to show the Arrange options as buttons in a palette? Or even better, is it possible to create custom palettes for options not currently available in palettes?

It's been in the menus for many years. It was only in the "app bar" for a little while as space filler - and the "app bar" has gone away.

Yes, you can create actions for these options, or scripts, or use configurator to create your own flash panels for them.

It might have been a space filler in the App bar, but it was very handy.

I found Configurator, and it works okay. Unfortunately it doesn't have Tile All Horizontally for some reason (it does have Tile All Vertically). But I guess it will suffice.

Mostly, I wish I could drag layers from one doc to another without having both of them open on screen. Maybe have the ability to drag the layers to the title bar of the other document when they are all consolidated. If there's a way to do that, that would be great, and even better than having to Tile Vertically and so forth.

That's interesting Chis, a number of people have been asking about creating a configurator panel that can access 2-up, 3-up, 4-up etc. These are not available, actions can not be created either as the insert menuitem for these is not recorded.
Do you know if there are stringIds for these items?

It's available. Go to Menu: Window - Arrange and choose "Float all in Windows".
