Photoshop CS6 Extended 64bit gives error "cannot use toolbox pipet due to program fault", if I try it using the 32bit version it works fine??? and it does not matter which file format I use.
Anyone idea's as to why it is doing this ???

No, but check the PSErrorLog.txt file in your preferences folder, and that may give us some idea.

Sorry for the delay in replying to your answer but have not selected PSError log.txt file under preferences have done so now and will repeat file usage in PS CS6 CC to see if an error log is generated.
By Default this option is not standard and must be selected manually so sorry for that , I do have a system report but as a word doc showing all sorts of info?? will attach to this answer via url link if required

The Error log is always written, is not in preferences, and has no options.

Check your preferences directory for the file PSErrorLog.txt.
