I am running 10.6.8 on my iMac. I have always had lots of problems with it. Just recently, they replaced my hard drive so now I am reloading Photoshop CS5. After a few attempts, it is now installed. However, when I go to update CS5 it fails to install the updates....ready to chuck my mac out the window! any help out there...warning...I am not super tech savvy but I can follow directions...

p.s. after the update fails then photoshop won't even launch. I have uninstalled/reinstalled/tried updating several times :(((

Thank you!

Hi Erin, it sounds like your OS has some issues. Have you tried creating a new user account? Or installing a fresh OS?

When they replaced my hard drive they reinstalled my operating system.
When I talked to apple about it they seemed to think it was an adobe
issue. I have never had a clean install of CS5 on this computer. I've had it
about a year.

How did you get Photoshop on the computer the first time?

Just kept installing until it took. But it never ran very well. Would often crash and what not.

Have you tried the trouble-shooting tasks in this document?
