Photoshop CS5 Extended - Avid DNxHD Codec Function Bug

Photoshop CS5 Ext.: Selection of a video format in video settings for Avid DNxHD does not work. Exported video is 1080i with 180 Mbit/s or 360 Mbit/s independent of source format and selected format. This is a serious bug for all who want to use Photoshop functions for video editin with Avid Media Composer. Unless solved, it is a no go for Photoshop.

Photoshop would be reliant on the third party codec for that.

This codec is installed by running Avid Media Composer. The codec works fine with other applications, such as e.g. TMPGEnc. 4.0 Xpress, or with Quicktime Pro version 7.7.1, both installed at the same workstation.

I made a short test.

1.Loaded video (Avid DNxHD coded) 1280/p50 into Photoshop, applied lens correction, and exported as Quicktime Movie (Avid DNxHD 1280/p50, 120 Mbit/s).

2. Loaded the same clip into Quicktime. Exported as Quicktime Movie (Avid DNxHD 1280/p50, 120 Mbit/s).

3. Loaded both files into Media-Info and made screenshots of the html view.

The two scrennshots are added.
