Photoshop: Ability to assign custom keyboard shortcuts/hotkeys for brush transparency

I want to configure some hotkeys, but I can't do it the way I need. (May be I just didn't see it?)

Usually when I paint (mostly but not exclusively layer masks in B&W) with my artboard I have the following setup.

Right hand: using the pen (yes I'm a right hander ;-)

Left hand:
I try to configure it so I can leave my left hand pretty much static on the lower left corner of the keyboard. I use two keys for my brush size (eg: [>] and [Y]). Then another two keys for brush softness (eg: [a] and [s]).
Another important key that i can use in this setup is the preconfigured [x] key to change foreground/background (B&W in masks).

BUT then I WOULD like to use another two keys within my reach for brush transparency - but it can't be done. I find the solution with number keys (change transparency with 1 to 0 keys) convenient in other situations, but totally not when I am painting.
These keys I can only reach by lifting my hand and searching - not good.

To sum it up: As this makes up considerable time of my work I would like to be able to additionally configure two keys for [less transparent] and [more transparent].

Would this be possible? thanks!
