Photoshop CC: saving/opening files gives program error after MacOS 10.9 update (OS bug affects all apps)

Just updated Mavericks to my MBP (mid2010). Now I am not able to save or open files with the latest version of Photoshop CC.. When saving or opening files Filebrowser view/dialogue appears only for a second or two and then disappears and "program error"-notice occurs. Rebooting machine won't help. Anybody else having same issues? Unable to work now..

This also applies to Photoshop CS6.

Problem Results:

• On File > Open... the open dialog displays for a brief second before disappearing and throwing the "Could not complete our request because of a program error."

• The second attempt at File > Open... is successful.

• On File > Save as... the Save dialog disappears without an error after a few seconds.

Workaround:
In the Open or Save dialog, choose Icon View, List View, or Column View by clicking on the icon for that mode.
(In the image below Cover Flow view is the selected, problematic view mode.)

I'm leaving the status of this as Solved, but we are working with Apple on OS 10.9 issues and working on a better solution.
Thanks for your patience.

This issue is fixed in the Mac OSX 10.9.1 update or later.
