Photoshop CC "Save for Web" gives error message

I have the newest version of Photoshop CC installed. (14.2.1 x64) and am running Mac OSX 10.9.2, on a MacPro 3.3 GHz 6-core Intel Xeon with 12GB RAM.
Since last week, I can not use the "Save for Web" feature. I receive repeatedly an error message stating "The operation could not be completed. A file or directory already exists with the same name."
This is not true - and if it were, I would normally be asked to give the file a new name.
I have reinstalled Photoshop twice, and have deleted numerous Preference files specifically related to "Save for web" (Plug-in) No luck. I am in the middle of producing websites, and I need this feature! Please help - I have already scoured the web for answers...

I have already seen several threads that suggest deleting a file at this location:
Mac: Users/[Username]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Save For Web 12.0 Prefs

This does not work for me.

The only thing that solved this problem was to create a new User and copy /paste Files to new user through the Shared folder under User group. This entailed moving all things like iPhoto & Mail & iTunes also - do research before you attempt this.
