Photoshop CC: Pasted text is incorrect size

I've been having a problem with the text tool lately which I don't see already in the forums (if it exists and I missed it, please point me to the correct thread). Whenever I copy text and paste it into another bounding box, the size of the text changes. I think it only happens when I am pasting into a text box that has been resized at some point in the past. I have to then manually change the text size back to what it should be. Is there a fix for this, or is this one of those annoying bugs in CC I have to work with?

Hi Anna,

Has the text been transformed / scaled? What OS and version of Photoshop CC are you running?

Thanks,
David

The destination text box has been scaled, but not the text I'm copying. I'm using Windows 8.

What you're encountering sounds like you're trying to copy text into an already-scaled text box. In such cases with earlier versions of the app, there were problems. You should upgrade to the latest version of Photoshop and be aware that the scaling model maintains the transformation. We have been talking about changing this model, but this is the current state of affairs.

Thanks,
David
