Photoshop CC, new Macbook pro retina 15", OS X 10.9 Mavericks, Crash while painting with tablet monitor In full screen mode.
While using the paint tool to colour artwork photoshop becomes unresponsive and remains "frozen" in this state for a long period of time. This happens frequently while painting, switching between full screen mode and turning guides on and off. Once frozen or crashed the cursor may move on screen but everything else will be unresponsive until eventually (if at all) it springs back to life and plays catch up (performing the actions I may have done while PS froze). Putting the macbook to sleep and removing tablet monitor seems to help it regain "consciousness". Only to some extent though. PS will need restarting to regain features like the top menu bar.

I've my worked way through the different suggestions made on that thread, non of which have solved the problem.
Is there a fix?
Will there be one?
Any suggestions?

I've tried the following with no luck;
Altering Ps Preferences-Performance settings
Adobe drive install / upgrade / uninstall
Disk Utility repair disk Permissions.
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Java update
Removing + reinstalling photoshop

Please remember that crashes and hangs/freezes are very different things, and should not be confused.
