Photoshop CC: I've noticed that after a while my home/end/delete/ keys stop responding. This happens every time I use Photoshop CC and it happens on other computers with Photoshop CC. TO fix the problem I have to switch apps, it can be any app, as long as I'm switching focus from Photoshop, then switch back to Photoshop to make the keys work again. I am using the latest version of Creative Cloud and the latest version of OS X Mavericks and I am using the Apple Aluminum USB keyboard.

Hi Jeffrey,

Nope, I'm not using a Wacom tablet.

And those are OS extensions? I would suspect either iStat Menus or the Logitech Control Center. I would disable those and see if the problem goes away.

They are preference panes. I have tried disabling them and I'm still having the same issue, even with the 2014 release of PS CC. I noticed it's not just home/end keys, it's also the delete, page up/down, and the arrow keys that stop responding. I'm not sure if it's the type tool in PS but that section of keys on the keyboard stop working and to fix it all I have to do is bring another app into focus and then switch back to PS.

Hi. Just wanted to mention that I'm still experiencing the same problem. We recently got new Macs and am using a fresh install of Mavericks and Photoshop CC and still have issues where the Delete, Home, End, and arrow keys stop responding. The only solution is to switch to another app and then switch back to Photoshop and the keys function again (for a few minutes and then stop working). It's bizarre. The only photoshop extension I am using is Suitcase Fusion 5.

Howdy Ryan,

Have you tried turning Suitcase Fusion COMPLETE off and/or uninstalling it? I work with Shortcuts all the time and this is the first I've heard of this problem, so I would guess that there's a specific setup involved. Some apps have a history of hijacking keyboard commands.

If that does solve the problem, I can reach out to Suitcase Fusion. If not, then I can help try to hunt down the cause for you. So, please, let me know.

Thanks,
David
