Photoshop CC 2014 isn't recognizing swatch files

I updated to CC 2014 and now, when I go to load a new swatch, the file selection window is blank. However, there are dozens of swatch files in the folder when I look at it in Finder. I'm trying to develop a custom swatch file from others that I've saved, but it won't recognize the files to load them. It also shows an empty directory when I attempt to save a swatch.

Thanks,
Barbara

Most likely you're looking at different directories (like the application folder presets versus your account specific presets under ~/Library/ApplicationSupport...).

The software was not recognizing any .aco files no matter where they were located. I tried every directory on my drive that contains a swatch file, and the Open window did not display any of them.

I removed PS and reinstalled from Creative Cloud. When I opened PS, it asked if I wanted to migrate my presets from CS4 and I said yes. I did not get that question previously and now PS will now display the swatch files located in:

Applications/Adobe Photoshop CC 2014/Presets/Color Swatches

It's weird but at least now I can get to the files.

Thanks for your reply!

On MacOS, I've just now tested every file variety that we read as swatches, and they're all shown and loading just fine.

And files that we can't load as swatches are shown grayed out - but still shown.

I don't know what to tell you - it showed the folder as being empty. Now that I've reinstalled it appears to be working. I don't know what changed to cause this, because it was working fine up until the oddity occurred.
