Does this update mean another GPU with more RAM needed or does it help those of us with less than 512mb

512 Meg is still the minimum VRAM requirements for using 3D features.

This is great. I am very excited about your 3D printing add-on. I have been working on a driver for my 3D printers for a few days. I would love to chat with you about this. I also would like to add my printers to your list.

I am a 3D printer manufacture and have been in 3D printing since 2009. We are about ready to release a new model in the next 30 days. I would love to have my driver ready.

Right now the only issue is getting the software to talk to my firmware. I use MARLIN firmware.

The detection is not working.

How do I select baud rate? I see that it is auto-detecting. Everything else is very easy to modify and create usable g-code. Also I need to figure out how to add a start and end to the auto-generated gcode. For start up and shut down.

I use Slic3r and Repetier at the moment.

Thanks

Jeff

This is a great conversation that's very separate from the main topic, so I created a new topic to continue the discussion. Please reference the new topic here: Writing a 3D printer driver for Photoshop 14.2
