Premiere Elements 11 (and Photoshop Elements 11) refuse to install in WindowsX/P Professional. Installation fails when installing the common components ("set-up.exe"). There is no specific error message, and the installation is rolled back. It seems the failure is related to either: Banks in the path name of the installation source, length of the path of the installation source, installation source being read-only. Considering the waste of time caused by this bug (installation+roll back), this is very annoying. The failing component seems to be Camera RAW 7.1.
I found out that installation succeeds when I copy all the installation files in the root directory of a hard disk. Adobe shouldn't establish such kinds of standards. In former times Adobe software simply used to work, and don't cause frustration as those of the competitors. Recently Adobe reinvented user frustration...

Sorry, I meant "Blanks", not "Banks".

Hi Ulrich,

What is the path you have selected for install location of Elements 11? Are you an admin user on this machine?

"setup.exe" was called in "E:\Adobe Premiere Elements 11\PRE 11" (which is on DVD). Copying the "PRE 11" folder to a harddisk's root directory fixed the problem.
