Photoshop: Adjustment layers for alpha channels or masks

Currently, you can make an adjustment layer and link it directly to another layer. However, the adjustment layer only lets us adjust the channels of whatever color space we’re currently in but NOT a linked Alpha channel. I love alpha channels and sometimes I have to adjust them with a curve. I’d sure love to be able to do this non-destructively with a linked curve.

Another idea: Have all linked Alphas show up in the Channels palette and allow linked adjustment layers directly in the Channels palette, too! Either way it would work for me.

Obviously, only adjustment layers that make sense to use for grayscale would be needed.
