I cannot open photoshop 7, the icon is missing from my desktop and when I go to the folder I see files but no exe file. I did have a virus sometime ago not sure if that is what happened or not. I lost my install disks, I went into regedit and found the serial # - is there anyway I can fix it? you can email me lyndabutler@verizon.net

Hi Linda,

Are you sure you're talking about Photoshop 7? That application came out more than ten years ago and wouldn't be able to run on any of the current operating systems. Photoshop CS7, meanwhile, is still in development. Perhaps you are referring to Photoshop Elements 7?

I'm guessing that you're running on some flavor of Windows from your regedit comment, but which one?

Thanks,
David

It sounds like you are missing files, possibly due to your virus cleanup.
Yes, you will either have to reinstall, or restore the files from a backup.
