Photoshop won't open a .jpg after updating to CC 2017

I updated to Photoshop CC 2017 and now I can't get any work done.  Every time I try to open a .jpg file it give me the "Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 has stopped working" and then the program shuts down.  I can still open .pdfs, .gif, and .pngs with no problem.  Thinking it was a problem with one file I have tried others and none of them will open.  And to top it off, you can't revert to older versions with this new update so the idea that I could just step back one version is not even possible.  I'm frustrated beyond words.

No I have not.  The only fix I have is to open the jpg in Illustrator, save it as a png then open it in Photoshop.  But I also just learned my computer will no longer install drivers either so this may be a larger problem with my computer than just a Photoshop issue.   A co-worker just started having the same issues as me this week so we are back on the hunt for a fix.

I came to this thread for the same purpose. I got results by uninstalling and reinstalling PSD CC. Hope this helps ya'll if you hadn't figured anything out yet.

Is the problem with all JPEGs? or just certain ones? If just certain ones, can you zip one of the JPEGs up and post it on CC or Dropbox for us to download and troubleshoot?

Its with any and all jpgs.  Photoshop will open any other file type.

I have spoken with our computer services and they are in the process of building me a new machine so I will see if the problem continues with my new computer.  Hopefully not
